European Film Awards con le star del cinema di tutta Europa
Tra soli quattro giorni registi europei, membri dell'EFA, ospiti, nominati e vincitori si riuniranno per celebrare il cinema europeo al suo meglio in occasione della 29ma edizione degli European Film Awards a Wroclaw, Capitale Europea della Cultura 2016.
L'edizione di quest'anno della cerimonia di premiazione sarà celebrata al National Forum of Music (NFM) di Wroclaw, progettato da Kurylowicz & Associates, un edificio multifunzionale che comprende una sala per concerti con 1800 posti a sedere tra platea, anfiteatro, coro e tre balconate.
Ad annunciare e presentare i vincitori nelle 22 categorie degli European Film Awards saranno le attrici Veerle Baetens (Belgio), Cécile de France (Belgio), Aiste Dirziute— (Lituania), Malin Levanon (Svezia), Pilar Lopez de Ayala (Spagna), Angela Molina (Spagna), Maja Ostaszewska (Polonia), Ludivine Sagnier (Francia) e Kasia Smutniak (Polonia) e dai loro colleghi Numan Acar (Germania), Carlos Areces (Spagna), Liam Cunningham (Irlanda), Marwan Kenzari (Olanda), Daniel Olbrychski (Polonia) e Tom Wlaschiha (Germania). Saranno raggiunti sul palco da Wim Wenders, Presidente dell'European Film Academy, dai registi Susanne Bier (Danimarca), Volker Schlöndorff (Germania) e Malgorzata Szumowska (Polonia), e dal leggendario compositore polacco Zbigniew Preisner.
La cerimonia prevede inoltre la presenza del compositore irlandese Stephen Rennicks, dell'attrice spagnola Adriana Ugarte, e degli attori Christian Berkel (Germania), Dave Johns (UK) e Trystan Pütter (Germania) in veste di "padrini" dei titoli nominati per la categoria "Film Europeo".
Pierce Brosnan riceverà il premio Contributo Europeo al Cinema Mondiale, Jean-Claude Carrière il Premio alla Carriera e Leontine Petit il Premio Co-Produzione Europea 2016 – Prix EURIMAGES. Tra gli ospiti della cerimonia ci saranno anche lo scenografo Benoît Barouh (Francia), il sound designer Dean Humphreys (UK), il make-up artist Waldemar Pokromski (Polonia) e il compositore Giuliano Taviani (Italia), membri della giuria dei premi d'eccellenza.
I 1200 ospiti dell'NFM, e gli altri 500 del New Horizons Cinema dove lo show sarà trasmesso in simultanea , e tutti coloro che da casa guarderanno lo show in diretta dalle 20.15 su TVN in Polonia, online all'indirizzo www.europeanfilmawards.eu, o su una delle altre emittenti o piattaforme online, saranno accolti dall'attore polacco Maciej Stuhr, conduttore della 29ma edizione degli European Film Awards.
